Sleeps two – eight people plus two infants, perfect for dogs (and families!), full of character it is Grade II Listed, in a Conservation Zone and AONB. It offers a fantastic location for coastal walks and beaches. Offering discounts for couples and small groups many weeks and taking 2019 bookings as we have really limited 2018 availability.
Very dog friendly property – Rill House welcomes any number of dogs of all breeds and they are welcome in every room in the house.
Rill House is located on a quiet pretty lane in the heart of the picturesque village of Slapton, close to the coast in South Devon. The lovingly refurbished cottage is full of character features and provides ample space for guests and their dogs, both indoors and out.
The south facing courtyard with sounds of the brook provide an ideal spot for summer barbecues and soaking up the sun, whilst the stunning enclosed gardens are perfect for dogs and children to play and explore.
The extensive accommodation has a double aspect lounge with separate adjoining dining room and spacious kitchen breakfast room. All four bedrooms are also generous in size and all enjoy views across the village to the church.
Slapton itself is just half a mile from the spectacular all year round dog friendly 3 mile beach of Slapton Sands that curves around Start Bay and is backed by the extraordinary fresh water lagoon of Slapton Ley, a nature reserve. Hours can be spent enjoying the seaside, walking or trying to spot the areas abundant wildlife.
A short stroll from two popular village inns, both dog and child friendly, one of which is overlooked by a 14th century Tower, that beckon for tasty meals. There is also a well stocked village shop to provide everyday needs within just a couple of minutes’ from the cottage.

Small stone bridge over shallow brook leads to beautiful large enclosed gardens with diverse shrubs, trees and flower borders. Lockable storage shed at rear of garden which can be used for bikes or kayaks.
