Long Description

Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of the popular North Devon village of Braunton, North Street Cottage is a delightful character cottage that comfortably sleeps up to six guests. As it was originally part of a Devon longhouse dating back to the 18th century, North Street Cottage thoughtfully combines character and period charm with modern day conveniences to offer guests a relaxing and comfortable stay.

This charming dog friendly cottage features a spacious lounge, with a wood burning stove, a well-equipped kitchen/diner, three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin) and a family bathroom. North Street Cottage also benefits from its own private enclosed courtyard with sundeck, ideal for those holidaying with dogs.

The village of Braunton has an excellent choice of restaurants, cafés, independent shops, supermarket, pharmacy as well as a thriving surfing industry.

It also provides excellent access to North Devon’s coastline, where it is only a short drive from the cottage to some of the area’s best-known beaches. The sands at Saunton is only a 5-minute drive away and is a popular spot for the surf but also welcomes dogs all year round. Further along the coastline is Croyde and Woolacombe, where dogs are permitted but there are restrictions in place during certain times.

Other opportunities for fantastic walks are via the Tarka Trail, 180 miles of largely traffic free series of pedestrian footpaths and cycle paths that covers a variety of landscapes but the 30 miles between Braunton and Meeth is mostly tarmacked. Exploring Braunton Burrows is also a definite must, and dogs are welcome to roam the spectacular sand dunes. Plus there is easy access to the South West Coast Path.
