The Two Bridges Hotel
'Two Bridges Hotel an oasis at the heart of Dartmoor' Sunday Times
A better Dartmoor spot for a break away would be hard to find! You’ll find the Two Bridges Hotel perched on the banks of the beautiful West Dart River, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, with glorious Dartmoor countryside in every direction.
Step inside, and you’ll immediately feel the history of the place, and the famously warm welcome. Crackling log fires, ticking clocks, gleaming copper and eye-catching antiques. Grab a squashy sofa in front of the fire and enjoy a Devon Cream Tea, or treat yourself to a delicious lunch in one of the lounges or the sunny terrace overlooking the front lawns and the riverbank beyond.
Upstairs you’ll find a range of luxurious bedrooms – from country-style standard rooms to distinctly indulgent Four Poster rooms (some with spa baths – ideal for a good soak after a day on the moors).
The award-wining Tors Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Executive Chef Mike Palmer and his talented team create stunning dishes using the very best local produce.
The Two Bridges Hotel is exceptionally dog-friendly (as befits a place with miles of breathtaking walks all around). Dogs are welcome in the traditional bar with its open fires, and in the slightly more formal Music Room lounge. Most bedrooms are also dog-friendly, and there’s a goody pack for your four-legged friend on arrival.
Whilst the restaurant isn’t open to your dog, we can lay a table for you in the bar area instead (where your breakfast can also be enjoyed).
Afternoon teas from £8.50. Lunches from £10. Three course dinner £42. Evening lounge menu for residents.
Stay from £90 per night, for two people, including full Dartmoor Breakfast. £12 per dog, per night.
